crown-forexCrown Forex SA is a Swiss based forex trading brokerage company having it registered offices at Bassecourt, Switzerland. It appears to be exclusively located in Switzerland and the website is available in the following languages apart from English, namely Arabic, French and Spanish.

Company’s Market Position

The avowed objective of Crown Forex is to help potential financial investors identify newer opportunities about trading in international financial markets and supply them with the requisite tools to do so.
Crown Forex SA is regulated as a Financial Intermediary under Swiss law and supervised by ARIF which is in turn overseen by Swiss Federal Department of Finance in Switzerland. Therefore Crown Forex SA follows a certain code of conduct in carrying out its business.

Types of Services offered

Demo account is readily available for practice purposes.
Thirty currency pairs can be traded in a 1-pip and no dealing environment.
Their margin requirements are Margin 100% or leverage 1:1; Margin 2% or leverage 1:50; Margin 1% or leverage 1:100; and Margin 0.5% or leverage 1:200

Trading Platform

The trading platform is easily downloadable from the Company’s website
The Crown Forex trading platform brings forth clarity and is technically excellent.
There are certain features embedded in the trading platform which could possibly reduce the amount a client could loose in trading on account of the high leverages involved. For example the trading platform accurately calculates margin requirements and checks the available funds before a new trade could be entered. The spreads are generally fixed on major currency pairs and their crosses.

Trader Support

The information and help center of Crown Forex SA works in tandem with its investor relations department. So a lot of useful information is always available by way of trader support.
The support features include a mailing form facility, live help, and call back facility apart from the usual email, telephone and fax options.

Site design and ease of navigation

It is fairly easy to negotiate through the website.

Advantages

There is zero commission levied on trades apart from the usual spreads.
Crown Forex SA offers a mobile trading platform which is of course a plus point.
Crown SA provides you with instant breaking news which is a great feature to have.

Disadvantages

Unlike most countries which have broker dealer regulations, financial entities in Switzerland are only regulated on money laundering via ARIF.
So Crown Forex SA does not operate under any specific broker dealer regulation as it would have been the case if it were elsewhere in Europe or in the United States.

Crown forex is a refreshingly new kind of forex broker out of Switzerland. I tried the demo and look at what I got. Several currency pairs could be traded on 1 pips basis and the margins could be ranged from 1:50 up to 1:200. Not many platforms have given me the 1 pips trading facility, and that too at fixed spreads. Spreads were usually fixed with Crown, not only for the majors, but for the crosses as well. And what about the platform? That’s what I liked best. Technically super stuff! It’s got some accurate margin calculating feature, so you don’t loose your money despite the fact that leverages offered to you are on the higher side. Another great feature was the instant breaking news facility. Now tell me how many platforms have this feature? Not many for sure. With other platforms, I have been caught several times making a trade, when the gravity of the news releases shifted the other way, and I was caught unawares that the news release had caught the market in the wrong foot as well. But with Crown forex you get to see the breaking news on the platform itself and that’s a great plus.

Trader support was excellent and certainly no glitches there. Nice broker to do business with.

Crown forex doesn’t seem to have much regulatory approvals, or does it?
